News: Semantics in Life Sciences

LShift CTO Matthias Radestock co-authored the paper Lab to Lab Connectivity and Semantics in the Life Sciences, presented at the W3C Semantic Web for Life Sciences workshop in Cambridge, Massachusetts last November.

The conference was held to discuss how Semantic Web technologies such as RDF/OWL and domain-specific standards such as the Life Sciences Identifier (LSID) help to manage modern life sciences research, enable disease understanding, and accelerate the development of therapies. Matthias co-authored the paper with Walter Fontana (Harvard Medical School), Jim Karkanias (Executive Director, Merck) and Greg Meredith (CEO, Djinnisys).
