Microsoft Highwire: High Tech Research
During 2002-2004, LShift was engaged as a Research and Development Partner working with the Microsoft Platform Development Group on an incubation project in the area of scale invariant distributed computing tools.
Working with the next generation operating system development team we were commissioned to help build, integrate and test tools for building distributed programs with Visual Studio.
In later stages we helped build an XML-aware distributed computing infrastructure for Microsoft's .NET framework. As part of our work, we explored a novel parsing framework that brings a powerful syntactic extension facility to traditional programming languages.
The project was demonstrated to the distributed-systems research community at a conference at Microsoft Research, Cambridge.
