The Orchard Network is an international business network that connects growing companies with service providers abroad to help them expand into new markets.
The Brief
LShift entered a joint venture with Orchard Network, creating a website that provides information and services to the Orchard Network's members. The project has received the support of the UK Department of Trade and Industry and BusinessWeek magazine.
The Solution
The site is built on top of an open source Content Management System (Plone to which many customisations have been added. News feeds are supplied into the site from third party sources, views and comments are supplied by members and industry experts and members can also promote their own services in the Business Opportunities forum.
The Result
The Orchard Network now serves an nternational community of companies and investors.
