OpenDemocracy is an independent international arena for analysis, debate and discussion of global affairs.
The Brief
Over the last few years we helped them plan the technologies underpinning their website - the driving force of their organisation - operating in a range of capacities from providing pure consultancy services to helping with the implementation of specific pieces of technology.
The Solution
Architecture planning
When looking to make improvements to the stability and manageability of the Web infrastructure, OpenDemocracy asked us to help them redesign the platform. We introduced the specification process of 'Use Case Analysis' and then redesigned the underlying technologies and the database design, which they then implemented in-house.
The forum
OpenDemocracy wanted to add a discussion forum that integrated with their existing membership system. We found an appropriate open source solution and implemented the integration for them.
Problem solving
Since then we have been on hand to resolve issues as they arise.
The Result
The site was succesfully rebuilt based on our recommendations, and the discussion forum was seamlessly integrated.
